What Is It?
The Mallwalkers Club is a free, informal walking program for all ages. Enjoy the safe, climate-controlled center while you walk your way to fitness and good health.
How Does It Work?
- Westfarms opens its 4 main entrances every morning at 7:00am
- Coat racks are conveniently located on the upper level near the Security Dispatch Desk. Just take the elevator near California Pizza Kitchen to the upper level and Security is on your left
- By walking completely around the upper level (including all corridors) you will have walked .76/mile
- By walking completely around the lower level (including all corridors) you will have walked .72/mile
The Mall Walkers Club is sponsored by Bristol Hospital. Stop by the Customer Service desk on the lower level in Center Court during mall hours to sign up.
All New Members Receive:
- Membership card
- Free pedometer to track your steps
- Blood pressure tracker/step tracker card
Walking Incentives:
Keep track of your miles/steps on your tracker card, upon completion each month drop it off at Customer Service. If you prefer, you may also keep track online, click here to sign up. Names will be drawn periodically from the mileage cards to receive prizes donated by sponsors and stores, so be sure to keep track of your progress!
Meet & Greet:
Bristol Hospital will present free, monthly events* held on the upper level between J.Crew and Restoration Hardware from 8:00am - 9:00am. No registration is necessary. Below is the calendar of events through the end of the year.
August 5th
A registered nurse from Bristol Hospital will provide blood pressure screenings.
September 9th
Vanessa from Connecticare will speak on men's health issues.
October 7th
A registered nurse from Bristol Hospital will provide blood pressure screenings.
November 4th
In conjunction with National Diabetes Month, Michelle Perriault from Bristol Hospital Diabetes Center will present: "Ask the Diabetes Educator"
December 2nd
Betty Burgess from Bristol Hospital Home Care & Hospice will speak on bereavement: "How to Help Friends and Family Through the Holidays"
